This Hari Krishna Foundation is proud to announce its upcoming social initiative, “Cycle to School,” scheduled to be held on 26th January 2026 in Mehsana, Gujarat. Inspired by the vision and guidance of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, this programme is being organized with the core objective of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”, aiming to promote girls’ education, safety, and empowerment. The Cycle to School initiative is designed to support girls who have to travel long distances every day to attend school. For many families, lack of safe and affordable transportation becomes a major barrier to continuing education, especially for girl children. Through this programme, Hari Krishna Foundation will distribute brand new bicycles completely free of cost to school-going girls, enabling them to commute safely, independently, and with dignity. By providing bicycles, the programme seeks to reduce dropout rates, encourage regular school attendance, and empower girls to pursue education without fear or hardship. The bicycle will not only serve as a mode of transport but also as a symbol of freedom, confidence, and equal opportunity. It will help girls save time, reduce physical strain, and allow them to focus better on their studies. This event reflects the Foundation’s deep commitment to nation-building through education and gender equality. Celebrating the spirit of Republic Day, the Cycle to School programme stands as a step towards creating an educated, empowered, and self-reliant generation of young girls, contributing meaningfully to the progress of society and the nation.
