The Hari Krishna Foundation organized the Mobility Mission program in Surat. Under this initiative, 98 individuals were provided with modern prosthetic legs free of cost, offering them a renewed sense of hope and independence in life. The significance of artificial limbs lies in their ability to empower individuals who have faced serious injuries leading to disabilities. These prosthetic legs not only serve as a physical support but also symbolize a fresh start in life for the recipients. They actively participated in activities such as walking, running, climbing stairs, practicing yoga, sitting, and riding bicycles to practice using their new limbs. Following the acquisition of their new legs, the beneficiaries expressed their emotions, deeply touched by the opportunity to articulate their feelings. The program was inaugurated by Padma Shri awardee Shri Mathurbhai Sawani and our organization's chairman, Kandarp Soni, lighting a ceremonial lamp. The entire Patel community generously contributed to the program by providing their buildings for the program's duration of five days, facilitating accommodations for the beneficiaries. Meals for the participants during the program were provided free of charge by our institution. This initiative not only provided physical support but also boosted their self-confidence and positivity, serving as a source of inspiration for others facing challenges in life.
